Will Facebook go Beyond Yahoo?

Well, let’s see what the year 2011 has enclosed for all, but FB’s ad revenue has already surpassed the $2 billion mark, so in that case answer can be a YES!

Facebook, a social networking platform that has transformed life for many, is now set to break another record. FB is now actively involved on its journey to leave behind another internet phenomenon, which is Yahoo on its ad revenue collection.

With a whooping figure of $2.19billion, FB this year is touted to account for 21.6% of display ad dollars from only US. Yahoo just next with a 16.4% share is followed by Google that grabs 12.6% of the display ad spending of US.

Will FB go beyond Yahoo?

Although Yahoo is all prepared to increase ad revenue in US by a double digit every year from 2010 to 2012, but still FB is well prepared to surpass Yahoo even then. FB’s new found publicity and it being considered as an ultimate platform for ad display and placements have helped the same rule industry and lead all its rivals, even when the line considered crossing aces like Yahoo, Google and more.

Yahoo getting overpowered first by FB, then by Google is predicted to experience a drop of an overwhelming figure in 2011. Its revenue crash to $1.1 billion describes a great downfall when compared to last year’s statistics of $1.28 billion.

Google on the other hand is expected to get left behind by Bing, as some observers have predicted. Well, what’s on the cards for Google, yahoo, Facebook, Bing and others is something that only time can unveil.

Will Bing haul Google’s juggernaut? Will FB actually surpass Yahoo in its ad revenue collection in US? Will Google leave behind Yahoo by 2012? All these and related questions will be answered only when the real time arrives.
