Now, in a surprising episode Google has offered to help increase your site speed through one of its online tool.

This web performance tool is called Page Speed Service. This is a part of offerings that include browser extension, the Page Speed Online API, and an Apache module to improve the downloading speed of a website. To be able to use this service to improve your site, you have to sign up and point your site’s DNS entry to Google. Page Speed Service will rewrite your website using the standard practices, compressing graphics and breaking the pages if required. You will not have to worry about your site speed or use speed improving tools such as zipping etc. as Google’s tool is comprehensive and looks for every aspect of your site that relates to your page speed. At the moment the service is free of charge, but it will not remain free for long.
