iGoogle retained and redesigned: includes voice search feature too

iGoogle has been redesigned by Google, for iGoogle to keep pace with Google’s other redesigned products. The redesign includes the navigation bar at the top and the left panel. According to product manager Conrad Lo, apart from the visible design changes like new colors and spacing, some improvements have been made to showcase the relevant and worthwhile content. Some of the buttons and navigation links has been hidden because they are rarely needed. Left panel can be collapsed to reveal even more gadgets. Chatting option is also included here.

imagesIt is an indicator that iGoogle is here to stay and people using it can enjoy it for a long time. It is important as the decision to redesign came when Google is busy renovating its house, clearing out certain products whereas retaining a few which are needed. According to Google officials even more such updates are awaited. And it would definitely be related to Google+.

It acts as a catch and attraction center for non-Chrome users, whereas it also rewards the Chrome users as it features a few new things. Voice search features are also included in the search box of iGoogle.
