Google Considering One Page Infinite Scroll for Normal Web Search Without Pagination

We have already read the news about Google testing a new design concept for its SERP (search engine result pages.) There was the inclusion of top search box and navigation bar, apart from the left panel while you scroll through results. It was revealed that page ends and the pattern the page numbers are displayed at the end of the SERP to move to the next page would remain the same, as we have it today.

It was also speculated that the new pattern would enable the user to continue scrolling down the page without any page end or pagination infinitely along the search results, the same way Google images work. Scroll down and down and down and you won’t have to click the “next” page. This will highly benefit the companies who somehow are unable to grab a place on the first page and due to this reason; most of the traffic is lost for them. This type of display will also add to the user experience as people are generally reluctant to move to “next” page. They want to finish the search in one page only.
