Goodmail Systems comes to a closing stage’; the latest news on Direct Marketing now confirms this that many were anticipating since long. The company’s CEO stated that, real reason for the same was a possession by Fortune 500, who are said to have backed up just when it was the TIME.

Goodmail was getting acquired by Fortune 500, if only the deal would not have called off at the final decision making hour.

Goodmail’s Breakthrough announcement of Yahoo and AOL implementing pay to play on email systems five years back cropped up many questions that till now remain unanswered. Whatever the actual story was, consequences the same brought on Goodmail’s repo was actually not as thought.

What now has clearly been understood is that Goodmail is not crafted to combat spam, which an altered email can cause for any publisher’s brand. Actually this is indulged in creating revenue for self and for the ISP of partners on site.

The service may have experienced ample criticism, but biggest achievement the same backed was bringing two rival parties- Right March and Move On on a common platform.

Gradually moving to its end, Goodmail lost support from Yahoo last year and further the acquisition’s failure to occur elevated the effect leaving them with no option, but to shutdown.

Sustaining losses was something Goodmail was not in a position to handle and Gmail not allowing its use had already given them a red flag signal. For Google believes that email filtering is a task that users and not someone else should enjoy.

The acquisition failure to happen left Goodmail option less and they were left on the altar, just when the company thought everything was going to turn good again.

So, saying that Goodmail’s decision of not making the acquisition public was a blunder and links to its downfall will be actually throwing light on a fact that remained unnoticed.

Well, whatever we say now, but Goodmail it was really good knowing you!
