Facebook Will Now Help Journalists Use The Social Network

Facebook has announced the launch of some new resources for journalists, consisting of a page called “Journalists on Facebook” and a journalist workshop program that will cover the globe.

“The new Page will serve as a resource for the growing number of reporters using Facebook to find sources, interact with readers, and advance stories. Content will be added regularly, and feedback from the journalism community will be incorporated.” told a spokesperson of Facebook.

“As newsrooms become more social, the Page will provide a place for journalists to connect with each other, as well as have access to best practices for integrating the latest Facebook products with their work and connecting with the Facebook audience of more than 500 million people,” she added.

Although, Facebook has been with journalists since early 2010 to make their content more social and effective, this time the company has brought a great feature for them. In the “journalist workshop program” which Facebook has planned to conduct, journalists will be able to learn how to use Facebook as reporting tool and get most out of it.
