Nearly Half of the US Population Uses Android Platform: A Survey Report

According to a recent survey in the United States the population using smartphones was nearly 40% of the total number of cell phone users. Among these smartphone users 40% people used Android based devices. Apple’s operating system was used by nearly 28%. In an interesting revelation among the people who had the purchase of a smartphone next year on their mind, on third wanted to have an iPhone and another on third wanted to have an Android phone.

According to this Nielsen survey among the people who are usually the first ones to adapt a new technology, a whopping 40% wanted to try Android as against 30% who were in favor of iOS. The people who responded as “not sure” were mostly the ones who were the followers, and this is the group other mobile companies can target. It is a reason to celebrate at Google offices and it justifies why 150 million Android devices were activated recently.
