A new short URL announced by Google “g.co” will lead you to all official Google products and services. It is being launched for ease of use and memorizing. In the meantime, Google clarified that it will not make a difference to goo.gl, another URL shortener in use by Google.


In the wake of new Google product integration drive this is an important announcement. Goo.gl will remain in use so, there will be numerous goog.gl URLs, even after Google+ integrates itself fully with other products. Google+ is the ambitious social media project of Google, currently under trial. Google is going to use this new URL to direct you to webpages owned by Google, so it would be difficult to know which website specifically you are being directed to.
