Digg, a user driven social content website has recently launched its new version, the mention of which was made a couple of months ago. New Digg comes with certain features that will make the experience of both users and publishers friendlier.
Noticeable changes:
- It has introduced a new feature, “My News”, through which users can follow other users and publishers
- Publisher can now automatically submit their content. It is a highly useful feature for publishers as it encourages them to share content to attract visitors
- The definition of power user has been changed as publishers too can make their content popular and get on the front page
- New Digg offers opportunities to new users
- Link Submission has been made easy as one no longer needs to provide the image and description as earlier required. These will be automatically added
It is now for users to feel the changes and determine their usefulness. New Digg however is drawing comparisons with Twitter and Facebook.
