Though there was some initial skepticism about whether Google+ would get as much success as Facebook as a Social Media, the clouds are clearing up as the infant social media of Google has already acquired a 25 million user base. People are extremely curious to know what Google has in store for them, because they know the potential of Google and its capacity to deliver something very exciting.
Google+ has only one major competition in its way and that is Facebook with 750 million users. It is yet to be seen how long will it take Google+ to catch up with Facebook, but definitely Google+ is emerging as a challenge for Facebook. Mobile app developers are very positive about Google+’s potential.

According to the latest surveys a majority of mobile app developers believe that Google+ is likely to catch Facebook. They have a valid point that Google+ is supported by major Google products such as YouTube, Google Maps and search capacities which can be leveraged by the web search giant to make Google+ as the biggest social media ever. Majority of the developers hailed Google’s innovative Hangouts and Circles. 73% of the mobile app developers said that they plan on using Google+ in their applets this year, which is just a little short of 83% who were in favor of Facebook.
As the masses who are flocking to Google are young, single and techy people, the huge migration is still waiting to take place. Experts say that once most of the younger lot start migrating to Google+ acquiring a 100 million user-base would not be difficult for Google+.
