Partnership between Yahoo and Gannett has paved the way for enhanced features in local advertising. Though their partnership is more than a year old, but they have decided to extend their partnership. This new endeavor will include the combined power of 81 Gannett print publications and around 20 broadcast centers. This is huge especially when local advertising is picking up and digital advertising is replacing the traditional one.
It is a fact that people are spending more time online and the dollars spent on web advertising are worth it. Now this partnership will powerfully project the adverts of local advertising through print and radio ads. So it will work either way even if you are advertising as local business through Gannett’s; you will have powerful association of Yahoo web advertising too.
It will enhance Yahoo’s penetration and advertising income at the same time. This offline support from Gannett will definitely add to Yahoo’s digital prowess. Yahoo’s integration with Gannett’s broadcast markets is expected to be completed by February 2012
