Google+ surpassed 50 million users mark

Google’s trick to launch its experimental version of Google+ has worked and it has now acquired nearly 50 million users. It was revealed by Paul Allen, statistician and founder of Ancestry.com, in his Google+ profile. It has achieved this miracle within just 90 days of its existence. His previous analysis about Google+ user base was also proved to be accurate, when it hit 10 million and 20 million mark.

When Google announced Google+ and allowed the users to join it without an invite, it was around 2 million users signing it up every day. Now the rate of joining is thought to be even more. According to an analysis 50 million user mark was achieved by LinkedIn in 2354 days, by Facebook in 1325 days, Twitter 1096 days and MySpace did it in 1046 days, whereas Google+ achieved it in just 88 days, which speaks about the sheer power and reach of Google.
